ASUU MEMBERS MEET IN ABUJA TO DISCUSS ON HOW TO END THE 5 MONTHS STRIKE.

Abuja – Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities have regrouped in order to discuss the ending of their five month long strike, Epoch Timesreports. This came as a result of the Federal Government’s ultimatum that striking lecturers have to return to the classroom by 6 December (later extended to 9 December) or else they will be fired. The union responded to the government saying that they can carry through their threat as they would not be able to replace so many lecturers, although new lecturers were hired at Adekunle Ajasin University in order to replace striking lecturers. It has been revealed by sources that many of the ASUU members want to end the strike and return to the classroom
